What’s the best business advice you have ever gotten?

Have you ever gotten great business advice that you’ve put into practice and find that it’s true or it works? I have. Several times in fact. I can think of three situations where I have gotten business advice that I still use today.

1) My husband. Whenever I whine about earning what I use to complain about as a piddly affiliate amount her reminds me that it’s (fill in the blank amount) that I didn’t have before. To be thankful and stop complaining. He’s right and those little amounts add up in short time.

2) My sister, as a seasoned business, has given me tons of advice. Some of it I repeat back to her. The main thing is to not judge my work by others. To go and do what I know and stop whining about how so and so’s website, widget, or what have you is better than mine. I put myself in the place of my customer when producing and that is what keeps me making the best I can do.
