Make Your Own Beautiful Covers for Ebooks and Reports

Writing ebooks and reports is a great way to help people with your expertise and for them to access it fast. But will potential customers take you seriously without the right graphics to let them know you have a valuable product they need?

Sad but true a flat image showing off your items can look cheesy and cheap and not portray the image you want.

Paying someone else to make 3D images showcasing your products can become costly especially when you really start producing some great stuff.

Here’s my story…

I got frustrated when I was in the process of creating several eproducts such as ebooks and reports and needed good graphics to showcase them. I knew I had plans for more down the line and paying someone to make covers for each of them when I have several good (and expensive) graphics programs on my computer did not make sense. (the link I used to use to make free ones was no longer working)

I searched long and hard to find something that would work on a Macintosh, something without a big learning cure, and something that did not cost an arm and a leg.

I admit to paying for programs and scripts that didn’t work. They cost a few dollars less than the program I’m about to mention but for me they ended up being a few more dollars wasted.

So after much deliberation (I can be cheap) I decided to take the plunge and pick up Web. 2.0 Covers and be done with it.

Being disappointed before I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Okay so I have a Macintosh and Adobe Photoshop Elements version 6 but neither of those items is necessary for this program as you can use it with Gimp (which is free) and other image editing programs and on a PC also. It also opened up in my ImageTricks by Belight Software but I’m not sure how to go about editing the same layers in there.

There is a simple video showing how to use the files but it is simple enough that if you are comfortable with the basics in your chosen graphics program you’ll know exactly what to do.

You open the files and add your personalizing touch. Then use the options to jazz it up or down.

Simple yet very effective. Just what I needed. I don’t have a lot of time to slave over learning a new product. I just needed results.

So if you’re combing the internet like me and wondering what to use I’m recommending  Web. 2.0 Covers to make your own stunning ecovers and disc images and box shots for showcasing your already fabulous product.
