Creating a daily to do list for your home based business can help you keep on track of items both in your work and your home. Here are six tips to think about when getting started with your work at home to-do list.
- The best time to create your to-do list is the night before. Before your go to bed list off the things you need to get done the next day in your business.
- If you also tend to do several things around the house separate your to do list between home and work. Don’t make it confusing just draw a line down the middle of your paper and head each section home and work.
- Don’t try and think up new things to add to your list just put down what you need to do and be focused about it.
- Prioritize your list by putting A,B,C next to action items. Or 1,2,3 works also.
- If you don’t get to an action item move it to the next day. Try not to keep moving things down the list. Your to-do list is to help you be productive.
- Use a clipboard to hold your to-do list. This allows you to attach documents you may need use the next day.
It is very rewarding to mark off things on your to-do list as you get them done. It can also help you digest big projects by breaking them down in to more manageable to-do items.
